Vignerons Ardechois Les Terrasses Rosé
PRODUCER: Founded in 1967, Vignerons Ardéchois is the most respected & award winning producer from the jaw-dropping Ardeche region in the South of France. Ardeche wine growers have long lived in the shadows of their more illustrious northern neighbours in the Rhone Valley and also Provence to the south, but are now being recognised by wine journalists and sommeliers alike for their unique style and fresh, elegant wines.
Vignerons Ardechois is made up of 12 different wine-making cellars spread over a mosaic of terroirs, from the Cévennes foothills to the Rhône valley - each cellar focussing on the varietals that are best suited to the growing conditions of that particular part of the valley.
WINEMAKING: Made from 70% Grenache and 30% Merlot this is a free run rose from the tanks after a contact time of 4-6 hours and then fermented at low temperature of between 12øC and 14øC for 16 to 20 days.
TASTING NOTES: Salmon pink in colour with a distinctive raspberry dominated red-fruit nose, this is a full flavoured and yet very fragrant and fruity with a refreshing crispness.
