Vazart Cocquart Special Club 2014 Vintage Champagne
PRODUCER: Since 1954, Vazart-Coquart Estate has been producing elegant and rich champagnes. The terroir of Chouilly, Grand Cru of the Côte des Blancs, plays host to our 30 plots of vines. Chardonnay is the predominant grape variety on our 11 hectares of vines, supplemented by several hundred square metres where we also grow Pinot Noir.
Since 1996, we have been part of the "Club Trésors de Champagne". This association of independent winegrowers is constantly seeking excellence. A prestige cuvee, the Special Club ages for many years in the cellar before arriving at your table with a unique freshness. It receives a cork at the time of bottling, which gives it a superior complexity. It is a full-bodied, gourmet wine for special occasions and gourmet meals.
Le Club Trésors de Champagne
The Club Trésors was founded in 1971. It is the oldest group of Champagne region winemakers.
THE “SPECIAL CLUB” BOTTLE The common feature among the members of the club is the “Special Club” bottle. Each of the champagne producers makes its own Club cuvée, a vintage wine that is left to age in the cellars for a number of years.
A TASTING COMMITTEE Each “Special Club” cuvée has been validated by a tasting committee. Blind tasting sessions are organised by our oenologist and only the best wines are chosen.
TASTING NOTE FROM THE WINERY: The mouth, with its extremely lively trajectory, undeniably confirms the unctuous and very substantial perception of the nose. The warm wild fruits, protected by a roasted and oiled envelope of great distinction, are ultra crunchy and pulpy and the finish, with its hints of almond and fresh green lemon, offers clarity and precision.
