PRODUCER: TESCH winery in Langenlonsheim is considered one of the most innovative wineries in Germany.Perhaps because they have consistently brought each of these steps to the point. They concentrate on the decisive factors and do not get bogged down. That is why their single site wines enjoy a high status on the wine lists of top international gastronomy.
WINEMAKING: Grapes are sorted manually and destemmed, skin contact lasts for 4-8 hours and pressing is bypnuematic press. Each vineyardspickings are fermented separately and blended before bottling. Fermentation commences using wild and cultured yeasts in stainless steel tanks and lasts for 40 days at 12-15°C. The wine is matured on its lees for 6-12 weeks in the tanks with malolactic fermentation prevented, no oak contact ensures the wine retain its varietal character and clearly expresses the local terroir. The wine is filtered and bottled.
TASTING NOTES: Pale yellow in colour. Rich, with notes of acacia, honey and lime on the nose. On the palate it possess amazing concentration of fruit balanced by fine minerality and crisp acidity.
