PRODUCER: The El Coto vineyards, 8 farms, are spread throughout all of the subareas of the Denomination of Origin Rioja. The use of traditional indigenous varieties as well as the newly authorised ones allows them to maintain all the typical characteristics of Rioja in their wines.
WINEMAKING: The alcoholic fermentation is carried out in stainless steel tanks, with maceration of up to 18 days and frequent pump overs looking for the balance between fruit and extract. Aged for at least 18 months of ageing in 225 litre American oak barrels. Refined in the bottle for a minimum of 18 months.
TASTING NOTE: This dry, full-bodied and woody red displays a complex nose with balsamic, woody, spicy and fruity notes. On the palate, its refreshing acidity, firm tannins, and broad texture precede a medium finish. Pair with beef stew or grilled lamb dishes.
