Deep ruby with ripe cherry, raspberry and redcurrant, joined by warm spice, chocolate and roasted oak. Full-bodied, smooth and balanced with a long, juicy finish.

Best known in Puglia, Manduria
Puglia's rich, ripe red grape, the same variety as California's Zinfandel. Jammy black fruit, spice and generous alcohol, with soft tannins. Big, warming and very approachable, with Primitivo di Manduria the best-known name to look for.
Italy
The heel of Italy's boot: hot, sunny and flanked by two seas. Primitivo and Negroamaro rule, giving rich, ripe, generous reds with plenty of spice, notably from Manduria and the Salento peninsula. Bold flavours, warm hearts and outstanding value. Made for the barbecue.
Puglia, Italy
Paolo Leo is a family estate in Salento, Puglia, now in its fifth generation. Love Wine stocks a Negroamaro, a Malvasia Nera, a Salento Riserva and an organic Primitivo made by appassimento, with grapes withered on the vine for about 12 days.
