PRODUCER: Moschopolis was established thanks to the efforts of Dr. Georgios Germanis, a chemical soil specialist with more than 30 years experience in viticulture and winemaking. Starting as a scientific consultant at a large Greek winery for 15 years and then as a research associate at selected wineries, he has left his mark on the rise of Greek viticulture and winemaking.
WINEMAKING: A blend of three varieties matured in clay amphorae for 6 months. Indigenous Greek varieties Aegean Mavrotragano (30%) and Xinomavro (30%), merge seamlessly with Syrah (40%).
TASTING NOTE: Medium-bodied wine that is fruit forward on the palate. Highly perfumed nose with flavours of sour cherry, wild berries, plum and dairy, as well as undertones of pepper and smoked paprika. Laced with hints of caramel and vanilla, it has refreshing acidity and silky tannins.
