PRODUCER: Corryton Burge is named for Corryton Park Homestead, the heart and soul of the Burge family. Set amongst gentle hills in Eden Valley, it is guarded by a pair of proud griffins. These fabled creatures, now featured on the wine labels, are said to protect precious possessions. Today Corryton Park Homestead is where the Burge family comes together. Family weddings and milestone birthdays have been celebrated, along with many a casual gathering with friends over good food and wine. This home, with its spirit of family and friendship, embodies the heart and soul of Corryton Burge wines.
WINEMAKING: 14 day fermentation in stainless steel, with a small portion in barrel, slow cool fermentation to preserve aromatics & left on lees for 9months to develop richness and texture on the palate.
Matured in oak stainless steel for a total of 9 months.
TASTING NOTES: A lively, rich, round and creamy South Australian Chardonnay. Pale to yellow straw, Aromatic white nectarine, with with hints of peach and pear. Palate provides generous fresh stone fruit and honeydew melon with a hint of creamy shortbread richness all brought together with moderate acidity to provide balance.
