PRODUCER: Located in the heart of the Haut-Médoc appellation, Château Sociando-Mallet is part of the history of the Gironde. The property has a vineyard of 83 hectares of vines planted on one of the most beautiful gravelly soils in the appellation, benefiting both from sunshine and a regular supply of water thanks to its proximity to the Gironde river.
WINEMAKING: Blend of 66% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon and 4% Cabernet Franc. After harvesting in crates and sorting both before and after de-stemming, this Bordeaux red wine was vinified in thermo-regulated inert vats and then aged 90% in new barrels.
TASTING NOTES: Tobacco leaf, cigar wrapper, fresh herbs and black currant are at the core of the wine. Full-bodied, powerful, tannic and juicy! The wine has a solid depth of flavour and a long, chewy blast of ripe red fruits in the endnote.
