PRODUCER: Since 1954, Vazart-Coquart Estate has been producing elegant and rich champagnes. The terroir of Chouilly, Grand Cru of the Côte des Blancs, plays host to their 30 plots of vines. Chardonnay is the predominant grape variety on the 11 hectares of vines, supplemented by several hundred square metres where they also grow Pinot Noir.
VINEYARD: Grand Cru vineyards in Chouilly in the Cotes des Blancs with an average vine age of 45 years. Certified organic since 2020.
WINEMAKING: 100% Chardonnay with around 35% of the wine made up of the base vintage. The remainder of the wine comes from a perpetual reserve started in 1982. The wine is vinified in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks, and undergoes partial malolactic fermentation. Around 18 months on the lees, finished with 4.5g/l dosage.
TASTING NOTES: This Blanc de Blancs unveils the Vazart-Coquart style. Great finesse, supple and airy, very much appreciated by champagne lovers.
