A dark, spicy red grape. Blackberry, black pepper, smoked meat and violets, with firm structure. Elegant and savoury in the Northern Rhône, in places like Hermitage and Côte-Rôtie; in Australia the same grape goes by Shiraz.

Morning fog and ocean breezes keep things fresh, making it a go-to for zesty Sauvignon Blanc, elegant Chardonnay and bright Pinot Noir. The valley that showed Chile could make crisp, aromatic whites as well as big reds.
Casablanca Valley, Chile
Juan Cúneo Solari founded Casas del Bosque in 1993 in Chile's Casablanca Valley, one of the first to plant there. It remains one of the few family-owned wineries. We stock Sauvignon Blanc, Syrah, Carmenère and a botrytis Late Harvest Riesling.
