An Evening of Bordeaux at Sumas Restaurant — 12th March

One of Jersey's most anticipated wine events is back, and tickets are now on sale.

On 12th March at 7pm, we're heading back to Sumas Restaurant in Gorey for our annual Wine Dinner — this year dedicated to two of the Right Bank's most compelling estates: Château Moncets and Château de Chambrun. Seven wines, five courses, all for £95 a head. You do the maths.

Both estates sit in Lalande-de-Pomerol, just a stone's throw from Pomerol itself. Le Bourg is in fact only 500 metres from Pétrus and shares the same famous blue clay — a detail that never stops being exciting. Same appellation, same ownership, but two wonderfully different wines: Moncets brings plush, dark-fruited generosity while Chambrun delivers structure, tension and that quiet classical confidence that defines great Right Bank Bordeaux.

Tanguy Martin from Roberson Wines will be guiding us through the evening, pouring across multiple vintages including a 2010 Magnum of Chambrun and a cheeky Sauternes to finish things off sweetly. Paired with a carefully curated five-course menu, it's going to be a cracking night.
