Tidal Rum Perfect Serve Pt. 4 - Rum Sour

Let's savour the moment!

Due to the success of Jersey's Tidal Rum, for the next couple months, we will be releasing a perfect serve with each Love Letter for your Tidal Rum experience!

From short drinks to long drinks, quick and easy cocktails are the measure of the day (excuse the pun)!

 

What's next?

After a relatively easy introduction into cocktails, we are continuing the theme but upping the anti! You probably guessed from the title, but we are going to tell you the secret for the perfect rum sour. Simple and quick to make, but a refreshing libation.

Ingredients

40ml of Tidal Rum (obviously, although we to add a bit extra)

25ml of Lime Juice

25ml of Falernum / Orgeat Syrup (or an almond bitter will work!)

1 Egg white

Grated nutmeg for garnish 

How to

It helps if you put your chosen vessel (glass) in the freezer for 10-15 minutes before hand so its nice and chilled.

Next, place all your ingredients into a shaker and dry shake (i.e. without ice) for 10 seconds so everyone gets to know each other and chills out. Then you'll want to fill with ice and shake again. Finally, fine strain over your pre-prepared glass and garnish with a few grates of nutmeg and a spray of salt water. Lovely.
