PRODUCER: In 1973, René and Thérèse LAMY-PILLOT, both from families of winemakers, built in the hamlet of Morgeot in Chassagne-Montrachet. They worked together exploiting a few plots, vinifying and selling their harvest themselves. Over the years, by hard work and new ideas, the Domain strengthened. It now operates 15 hectares in the communes of Chassagne-Montrachet, Saint Aubin, Santenay, Meursault, and Beaune spread over 20 different appellations. Each vinification is an interpretation of a vintage and a terroir. All our wines are vinified in the same spirit, to confirm the difference between all our terroirs. Our adaptation is based on a vintage and not a terroir, which highlights the natural differences that exist depending on whether a vine is planted at this or that place.
TASTING NOTE: This vintage displays all its vigour. Fruity nuances, accompanied by sweet subtleties. The wood and the tannins constitute a rather fleshy and structured wine. We can wait for it to gain depth but not more than four to five years., raspberry, tobacco, spice. On the palate wine is dry, fresh, strong, with a velvety texture, young tannins, tart notes of red fruits and a slight bitterness in the aftertaste.
