PRODUCER: The domaine's foundations date back to the 16th century and evolved in the 17th century, such as the houses built during the reign of Louis XIV. It is interesting to note that the vineyard in front of the Domaine bears the name of its owner during the French Revolution: Pierre Clément Daudignac. The domaine has recently started introducing biodynamic principles to their wines.
WINEMAKING: 1.41 hectare south-east facing. The vines are 20 to 40 years old and grow on calcareous soils, rocks, marls, sands, red silts and large crushed pebbles. These peculiarities of the terroir reveal harmonious and distinguished wines. The 2020 Chambolle-Musigny Village vintage from the Domaine de la Pousse d'Or is 100% Pinot Noir aged on lees in oak barrels (20% new oak) for 15 months.
TASTING NOTE: Bright ruby. The fresh, cool and expressive nose blends notes of spice, lavender and various ripe red berries. There is fine density to the delicious middle weight flavours that deliver fine persistence on the somewhat grippy finale.
