PRODUCER: In their families, the culture of the vine has been passed on from generation to generation since 1669. The Binon and Coquard families have always vinified their production. The alliance of these two names took place in the heart of the 1970s on the occasion of their parent’s wedding: Martine and Jean-Pierre who grouped their wine heritage in a single exploitation. It is at the arrival of Maxime on the exploitation in 2000, that the Champagne Binon Coquard was born. In 2012, it is the turn of his sister Cyrielle, to join the house to continue the development of the estate.
WINEMAKING: The grapes are a blend of 1/3 Pinot Noir, 1/3 Pinot Meunier and 1/3 Chardonnay. The grapes are hand picked and pressed in a horizontal press. Thanks to the use of temperature controlled stainless-steel tanks, settling and alcohol fermentation take place at 18°C, malolactic fermentation under 20°C. The wine goes through filtering prior to bottling.
TASTING NOTES: Discover an outstanding vintage full of harmony and elegance. The nose is fresh with notes of dried fruit and hazelnut followed by brioche and honey. On the palate, the power of the wine and the flavours are perfectly balanced. Fruity floral aromas combine well with ripe figs, vanilla and cinnamon.
