Beaujolais Nouveau, the fresh vins de primeur, is released every year on the third Thursday of November following the grape harvest. These wines gained massive popularity in the 1970s and ’80s, but after a period of overproduction and lower quality, they fell out of favour. Recently, however, Beaujolais Nouveau is back on the scene!
The French celebrate with fireworks, music, and festivals—an excuse for a party! By law, the wine is released at 12:01 a.m., mere weeks after the grapes are harvested. Events are held all over France and beyond to celebrate the first wine of the season.
This year, Thursday, November 14th, is the big day, and we’re launching our 2024 Beaujolais Nouveau with a pre-order available online so you can have it delivered or ready for collection on the day! The deadline to place our orders with the wineries is this Friday, so make sure to get your order in before Thursday to avoid missing out!
ORDERS WILL NOT BE ARRIVE BEFORE THURSDAY 14TH NOVEMBER
All pre-orders placed before midday Thursday will be shipped to arrive on Thursday 14th November, Beaujolais Nouveau Day.
