National World Gin Day June 9th
The 9th June sees the world come together to celebrate our favourite tipple! For all Gin enthusiasts, we are about to lay on a selection of Gins for you to try this coming Saturday along with our in-house barrel-aged Negroni #batchno3 made by Kevin. This little concoction has now been resting in oak for the past 65 days and has just been syphoned! This is a great opportunity to come down and see what we have been up to in the past 3 months!! Pop down on Saturday to have a taste!

Barrel Aged Negroni #No.3 contains: Martin Millers Westbourne strength Gin, Campari & Martini Rosso... this lip-smacking bitter concoction has been elevated with subtle hints of vanilla, clove, 5 spice and cinnamon.
South African Martinez Batch #No.1 is to be released as a special for this weekend only! Never been seen before, no copy write... just pure imagination. With only 4 litres of this exceptionally clean and refreshing gin mix, you will have to be quick to get in on the act. A blend of Chenin blanc based vermouth, gin & apricot cognac, this new innovative cocktail needs to be diluted over ice and served straight with a twist of pink grapefruit. What sets this aged cocktail apart is the fine integration of subtle oak, a warming apricot cognac mouthfeel coupled with great acidity and depth from the vermouth. Kevin had this to say: 'The idea had legs, the execution of the cocktail was exactly how I imagined... soft & warming apricot cognac from the beginning with a great balance in the middle from the vermouth... but wow! What a finish... The gin comes right through and botanicals just keep on building for a savoury and aromatic finish!!'
On top of trying these amazing barrel-aged cocktails, we will have 6 - 8 gins available on the day to try out and hopefully help find you a new favourite gin. The tasting will officially start at 12 pm and will end at 4 pm! It will be a very casual setting so please feel free to come and get involved.
