'Fitch' up and coming trend for coffee drinkers

'Fitch' up and coming trend for coffee drinkers

For all coffee lovers this might well be the product you are looking for, Emily, formerly of BrewDog has created a cold brew coffee with her single estate Ethiopian beans.

We first met Emily, founder and creator of Fitch Brew Co when she was working at BrewDog. We are so pleased to now be selling her amazing cold brew coffee!

Here's what she has to say:

At Fitch we like to oversee the whole process from farm to cup. We source the highest quality Ethiopian single estate beans and then roast and grind them before placing into our brewing tanks at the Fitch brewery in Leeds. The tanks are then filled with tailored cold water and left to brew for 20 hours before a triple filtration process is used to procure the end result; a bold, tropical, smooth and fruity Cold Brew.

In addition to an excellent stimulant in the morning or late afternoon this product comes highly recommended for those who enjoy mixing cocktails, I decided to put the product to the test and whipped up an 'Espresso Martini' which I have to admit surprised me. An elegant and refreshing nighttime tipple with an outstanding foam on the top, dense enough to hold more than a hand full of Ethiopian beans, what really makes this product stand out is the cleanliness of the beverage, slight subtle goji berries and a refreshing cooling coffee flavor that leaves your mouth clean, fruity and slightly bitter. Don't like vodka, try it with Monkey Shoulder (Whiskey) as an alternative for a punchier Espresso Martini. If you want to try out a White Russian half your milk content and add 'Fitch Cold Brew' again this drink will provide you with the stimulant that you need to carry on your evening.

To make my 'Fitchpresso Martini' you will need the following:

  • 50ml Fitch Cold Brew Coffee
  • 50ml Vodka/Whiskey
  • 25ml Kaluah
  • 10ml Sugar syrup

Once you have combined all of your ingredients into your mixing glass proceed to add ice to your tin and shake rigorously until the tin condensates on the outside, grab your fine strainer and strain the mix into your vessel, be sure to whirl your ice around the tin to maximize the froth, it will take a little time to arrive but persevere for your perfectly frothy finish. Garnish with some grated chocolate or some coffee beans whatever takes your fancy on the night.

Don't have the equipment and want something slightly different?

Try my 'Russian Fitch'

  • 50ml Fitch Cold Brew Coffee
  • 50ml Vodka
  • 25ml Kaluah
  • 25ml Milk

Once you have combined all the ingredients and I suggest using a large tumbler or a very tall highball pack your glass tightly with ice, stir until chilled and enjoy, if you enjoy your drinks with a little more sweetness add a touch of sugar syrup to sweeten it up. garnish with some cinnamon & nutmeg for a fragrant finish.
